I hope it is good, whatever it is
I like PA Works, so I'll at least give it a shot. I do hope to see more animes like Another from them at some point again though.
I liked HanasakuIroha and TrueTears so I'm definitely watching this
Slice of life animes is fun so I look forward to it.
I can never get enough of slice of life series, so I'm certainly looking forward to this one.
As expected of P.A.Works,
both the characters and backgrounds look great
Probably in, what's the summary? Is it based off a manga or an original anime?
^It seems to be off an original work. Info on the story so far:
Spitting image of Hanasaku Iroha but same studio will do that. Looks very good so far so I'm very hopeful.
Looks really nice, the Hanasaku Iroha-ish art is appealing, I'll be sure to check this one out.
Another TV CM:
Series starts today.
Well that was a rather relaxing episode to start off with. Introduced the main cast rather smoothly and I got a good idea on their characters.
I do think he should switch books to get a better grasp on Japanese customs.
Lol I can understand Wein using all of the accustomed bowing after reading books on Japan, but that ramen part was weird
Konatsu's music club instructor was being a bitch forcing her to quit like that
I think I like the entire main cast introduced so far already. The interactions have been fun to follow so far.
It's P.A.Works, so naturally the art and backgrounds are gorgeous :
Eventhough he's born Japanese, it's fun to see a person who's not acquainted with the Japanese customs and thus makes mistakes every once in a while I just had to laugh at him when he was doing the praying clap for a simple thank you
Miyamoto screaming in the water was quite funny too. I've seen that many times in western cartoons but this is the first time I see it in an anime
So I guess this anime will be about a choir club. Not too original but oh well.
^ i also loved his overly formal way of addressing people! clapping, bowing, kneeling ...
its not super original but i love what P.A does with art and all their shows have pretty high entertainment value. I'm gonna enjoy following this one me thinks
Tanaka is my favourite. Only member of badminton club
and watching Wien is so amusing...
Wait...wait...wait, was that the OP for True Tears the choir was singing near the start of the episode?
This was a pretty decent start to the series. The cast thus far seems well rounded, although no one really sticks out other than Konatsu. As expected, the character designs and background were well done and the overall atmosphere was welcoming.
I have a feeling this well be one of the better slice of life series this season.
yep, I knew I wasn't crazy.
Good old PA Works sure don't mind recycling their material, especially their better works xD
Well this seems like it's gonna be a fun watch. I'm glad I gave it a chance.
Another series with really lovely background, perfect for the nice feel of the series. Even the classroom was so bright feeling. :3 Of course I have immediate dislike for the vice principle but this is one of those series where there was probably something that hardened her along the way.
Loved Sawa trying to march off with the bow to talk to the vp. xD; I think I might grow to like Wien the most out of the kids. But I was baffled by his assortment of figures, like where's black, red, or blue. xD;
Glad I wasn't the only one who noticed that
Seems okay so far.
nice ep, it was quite enjoyable, maybe Im going to watch this..
is this from the same folks as Hanasaku Iroha? ..its pretty similar..
^Yep, same studio.
Glad to see that Miyamoto was able to sing this time on the stage, at the cost of three cakes and a slap on the ass.
Oh the embarrassment of a high school girl in a pregnant ward.
Yeah, it was nice seeing her work pay off. The way she screwed up last year's recital was really embarrassing. If I were her, I'd have died from embarrassment knowing someone recorded it and uploaded it to the internet.
I imagine the VP will become less frigid towards Konatsu pretty soon with her taking over for the principal as club advisor.
It figures the choir wouldn't be able to perform as they're currently constituted. After all, the series has Wein, Konatsu, Sawa, Wakana and Taichi as the main choir members. So of course, we'd get 3 of the 5 main members perform. I would have been nervous with so few people, since you're voice will be even more clear to the audience.
And enjoyable episode all around. Now, I wonder what will happen to the other choir members (The ones Konatsu blackmailed her brother into roping in) since it was more of a makeshift situation. They obviously won't be taking part in the choir but wonder if there's a falling out or if their obligation was for just one performance.
I knew things wouldn't go as planned for Konatsu's first club performance, things kept going up and down, it made me wonder if this episode was going to end on a bad note for Konatsu. Glad she got her moment in the spotlight and redeemed herself from that embarrassing video
And lol at that teacher thinking Sawa was pregnant
So I guess this takes care of Konatsu as a character, time to move on to the more interesting ones.
Sawa waiting at the pregnancy ward was beyond embarrassing
I'm also wondering, what's the deal with Wakana. The principal immediately gave his blessings to the new club once he saw her name among the members, and it seems that song they were performing is connected to Wakana's late mother, and the current choir teacher knows about it too. My guess is, that Wakana's mother must have been a teacher at the school and probably a musical prodigy.
Aw, Konatsu being all nervous during choir was funny but also kind of sad. I was really nervous when I was in chorus way back, I couldn't actually sing when it was time to perform. It was nice seeing those who made it getting it together despite the problems they ran into.
So much Makoto service, I barely know what he looks like outside of a bath. xD;;;;;
Episode 2: I should have guessed most of the club wouldn't actually be there for the recital. Can't have anyone taking any spotlight and perfect setup for Wien and Tanaka to join.
The maternity ward scene was probably my favorite, how awkward that must have been
Well, the question I had regarding what happens to the other members of the choir club was answered rather quickly this episode.
Poor Tachi never stood a chance against the girls. The rules were so stacked against him from the very start. Figures Konatsu would come up with a plan that would benefit both sides.
I'm guessing that guy who is continually hounding Waka knew her mother and wanted to impart something to her, but the language barrier is a bit too much to deal with. Maeda to the rescue?
Felt so bad for him after Wien screwed up. It's nice that Konatsu's plan worked though. I thought the VP would have the final say with the Principal stuck in the hospital, so I imagined trying to get the club approved would've been a lot tougher.
Not sure why the VP was so against their club but it seems she has a past with the choir club. Hopefully that will be delved into more.
I chuckled each time Waka tried to get away from our stalker.
Poor Taichi, he started so well in the Badminton match but the odds were stacked against him. Ah well it works out in the end. And whatever the hell Taichi and Wien were doing at the train stop had me rolling
It's about time Konatsu occupied the bathroom for once, I was getting tired of seeing her brother's lazy ass in their
He sure got screwed over with the porn collection.
Poor Taichi really didn't have a chance to begin with, and it was kind of obvious that Wien will only make things worse. It was still a win-win situation for both sides, so at least these guys won't be quitting the club like the previous members.
As for Wien, I was rolling on the floor when he hopped out of Taichi's room
Wakana's stalker is a funny guy too.I'm sure they will overcome the language barrier sooner or later but until then, that piglet will be qetting a lot of exercide
Sawa and Konatsu really should keep those hair styles they wore at the beach. They looked much nicer than usual
The school's vice president is seriously needs to get laid. She's got too much frustration built up
Take out shuttlecock and insert older sister
Can I get a gif of that pig panting?
Gosh, that pig was about the cutest thing to exist yet, I would love to go jogging with one. And more with animals, I use to love trying to get closer to squirrels. Or chasing them. xDDD;;; And Wein I still do love, bunny hopping out of the room. The idea to make the club both do badminton and choir was pretty good. One day I hope to see them do both at the same time, haha.
In case anyone's interested.
Wakana reminded me of Victoria justice this episode, especially at the beginning, her facial expressions to the Italian guy looked like ones Victoria makes.
Also the way she looks and acts in general too. She's becoming my favorite character, because of this now.
