Sasori could kill him, but it would have been better (for Sasori) had he started out in Hiruko.

So you think he stops at Sasori :huh ? And I would think that would be worse for Sasori.

I'd say he stops at Konan. She almost killed Madara for gods sake.

    Paper Ocean would end him.

Why would you give Konan prep for Kami no Shisha? That's just stupid.

Perhaps. Sasori would push Itachi to his limits, and would definitely get scratched.

It would be better because Itachi would be forced to use Amaterasu to get him out.

EDIT: Forgot this was a gauntlet. >__>

He will after Kisame fights Itachi a day earlier, and Konan (with Paper Ocean prepped) fights Itachi the day before that :zaru

Kami no Shisha has no longer been given prep to make.

Paper ocean solos anyone without izanagi, so Itachi stops at Konan. Itachi won't go very far at all even with that limited because of the mangekyo's blindness inducing side effect. By time he gets to the stronger opponents he'd be at a massive disadvantage.

You could of ordered the gauntlet better, I think Kisame and Orochimaru should be among the last opponents.

    Kakuzu>Kisame :)

And with Edit. Itachi stops at Kakuzu his stamina is no match for someone like Kakuzu the only thing that would really affect him enough would be Susano'o but Itachi would collapse due to exhaustion.

In that case, he should be able to get to Kisame without MS usage so long as he spams three tomeo genjutsu.

Kisame will force him to use MS either way or maybe even twice since samehada can probably break him out of any non-instantanous genjutsu, which means everything bar tsukiyomi.

Or he floods the field and Itachi must utilize amaterasu to either snipe him in the water or Susano'o to nullify the dome's water element.

Kakuzu will mop him up after that unless he seals him early. The MS damage will carry over. He'll stop here or the next one.

edit: Kisame > Kakuzu imo. Once Kisame floods the field its over for most people and I see Kakuzu being one of them.

    Hidan:
Kakashi was able to handle fighting Hidan while dodging attacks from Kakuzu at the same time and didn't get scratched. Outside of the initial shock of his attack Asuma was more than capable of holding off and fighting against Hidan. I don't know how much Itachi knows, but they did call them zombies so Itachi should know something is up.

This is easy and Itachi defeats him with regular genjutsu, some kage bunshin and his normal tricks. He's in perfect condition after a day of rest.

    Suigetsu, Juugo, and Karin
These guys are deceptively powerful, and Juugo is a very nice counter to Itachi's katons. Karin is a great defense against some of the tricks Itachi may have. However, Itachi's genjutsu is literally unstoppable here. Outside of the team breaking each other out, there is little they can do to stop Itachi. Suigetsu will be annoying in that physical attacks won't necessarily hurt him, but I think a few powerful Katon's will wear him out or evaporate him.

Itachi may get a few bumps and bruises, but he should be almost perfect after resting for a day.

    Konan

I wish we knew more about Konan's genjutsu resistance. She is going to be a tough opponent either way. The only thing Itachi has that can take her out is katons, but those won't necessarily kill her unless you can destroy all of her paper. I assume a good genjutsu would help put her out of commission, but it would have to hit her, and that's easier said than done.

Since she no longer has the prep time, then Itachi should be strong enough to get through her one way or another (he might even have to go to Susano'o to do it at worst,) but he is not walking out in great condition.

Itachi is going to have a couple injuries that are hampering him now, and his eyes may have taken a bit of a beating.

    Kisame

This is actually an easy fight for Itachi even if others don't think so. Kisame fell for Kurenai's genjutsu, someone Itachi overpowered with ease. Itachi only needs to catch Kisame in the genjutsu and he's fine.

    Kakuzu

Now we're talking. The hearts have their own chakra, so they keep Kakuzu from being genjutsu'd, Kakuzu has tons of chakra so he can just keep pounding away without having to look at Itachi, and he can do so with an elemental advantage the whole way.

Itachi is going to have to go to Susano'o to take out Kakuzu, and it's going to cost Itachi dearly for doing so a second time.

Orochimaru /w Zabuza, Torune, Pakura, Kushimaru, Jinpachi, and Kimimaro via Edo Tensei

Itachi should be smart enough to know what Edo Tensei is. He's going to be using Susano'o right away and is going to wear himself out. Especially with Orochimaru having knowledge of it now. Itachi either wears himself out completely, or loses here.

    Deidara

Itachi has no knowledge of Deidara's eye, and that is going to give Deidara the easy win against a worn out Itachi.

No, it actually doesn't. I specifically say that it would be better for Sasori if he started in Hiruko. It is clear that you haven't been reading my post, or chose to ignore your belief of my own thoughts. I also find it interesting that you claim to understand my thoughts on the matter, when it is strikingly obvious that you and I are not the same being.

    No, he wouldn't.

I've read your posts before, so I don't need to read the ones in this particular thread. I never said anything about Hiruko, I'm talking about Itachi being at a disadvantage.

    Yes, he would.

If you wish to ignore my posts on this thread saying that "I've read your posts before" then it is clear that you delightfully select what you wish to see. Such filtering of what I say causes you to sputter such nonsense regarding how I view this thread.

Yes, and I am saying that Itachi is at an advantage against Sasori, given the conditions.

Except you're derailing the topic. You seem to be upset that Itachi is at a disadvantageous situation... well duh, it's a gauntlet. Gauntlet's aren't meant to be an advantage for the person going through it. Otherwise it wouldn't be called a 'gauntlet.'

Now, can we get back to the topic at hand?

Before I have to go all mod and force that to happen?

Distracted, I don't think the hearts have their own chakra. They have different anatomical pathways, but it should be Kakuzu's chakra flowing through it all.

You have also begun to spout some nonsense about bias. If my points are bias, then counter them and point out said bias. If not, then you are doing little more than flinging unsubstantiated bull about said bias.

I voted Konan back when she had prep, but now I see it like this:

    Hidan

Genjutsu would be very effective in my opinion.

    Suigetsu, Juugo, and Karin

A Karasu Bunshin and powerful genjutsu should work here too.

    Konan

The Katon that Shouten Itachi used was very powerful. Flames should work.

    Kisame

Kisame did seem vulnerable to Kurenai's inferior genjutsu...

    Kakuzu

This match would require Susano'o being up for a bit.

    Orochimaru

The Totsuka is needed all around. Part 2 Itachi will go blind.

    Deidara

45 meters is enough for him to go airborne; blind Itachi loses badly.

Yeah, but Sakura was like X and X dodged it. Chiyo and Naruto barely dodged it as well. Sakura had decent reaction feats against Sasori, and she all the same moves faster than dispersed paper.

I edited in links. It was one of the better Katon feats in the manga, Puppet. Besides, what speed feat does a dispersed Konan have? If she is in human form, an illusion should work. If she is dispersed, spamming that Katon should work.

Better in terms of power, but the fact remains that everyone was unharmed. Nor is it's AoE large enough to hurt dispersed KOnan.

X we see that Konan's paper reached Madara slightly before she did. So it's speed is the equal to if not greater than Konan's speed.

Sakura's reaction feats against Sasori was due several factors that I will list, if asked.

Konan is able to access tons and tons of paper seemingly at a whim. Dispersed she's able to search an entire village in short order.

I doubt Itachi would waste his time using Katon's constantly, it's a waste of effort and chakra.

It would be far more logical of him to try to trap her than it would for him to track her.

Because each paper is seemingly semi-sentient, I remember her forming them in to butterflies to search, but the only time she utilized a huge amount of paper was against Tobi, with preparation. Or am I mistaken? I figured Katons would work on destroying a body-sized amount of paper, even if it's dispersed.

Anyway,at Kisame i see him having alot of troubles because of 3 things:

1.Kisame has pretty much full knowledge on him(maybe except susano).
    2.The distance favors him.
3.In this location he is in his element.

If he somehow manages to beat Kisame he would be in no condition to fight Kakuzu(with all four masks released) the next day.

Can't be his own chakra as every chakra has a nature and everytime he uses his hearts he's using a different chakra network which are all linked to his own chakra.

I honestly don't see it happening if she's floating throughout the field. Spamming Katons is a viable method, but Konan could just as easily replace the amount of paper lost.

I hadn't considered that. I agree with you. Katons wouldn't be very practical if she can replenish her paper more efficiently than he can destroy it. Although I remain adamant concerning my opinion that a solidly connected fire release would hurt her, and that Katon users in general have an advantage.

Fair enough. A solidly connected Katon that hit would end Konan, especially if she isn't dispersed, but I do doubt that the Katon would hit.
