Yes, I definitely believe that it is; it has its own self-contained story that does not require that a viewer have watched the previous two seasons of Code Geass, only that they have some familiarity with the basic storyline. Unlike too many other anime series that I have seen, which are either too long or too short, Akito the Exiled has the perfect length to tell its story and develop its charterers, plus, it also has amazing artwork and well-animated action scenes. Each episode is approximately an hour in duration, so it will not take too much time to watch them.

On another subject, would anyone here like to see an erotic series with the same detailed art style that this series has? Can you imagine how amazing that would be?

The art style itself or the character designs? Because if it's character design then that's Takahiro Kimura and he's done some other series in similar designs as well.

Both; given that the artists of this series already draw the women as being amazingly attractive, it would not be a great departure from what they are already doing to make and erotic series.

Why? He's basically Lelouch's meatpuppet now serving Zero and the new empress. Granted he might break free of the command somehow...

That's what they meant by "meatpuppet" I guess.

Watched the first two eps of Akito. Pretty good so far, with some of the best action sequences I've ever seen. Reminds me a lot of the action scenes from the old Devil May Cry games.

Seriously though, Schneizel does need to come back.

Also is R3 about the events preceding Code Geass or does it take place after the events of R2?

I see, I didn't know the actual name. For some reason I remember hearing somewhere that it would be a prequel, and there were a lot of things that took place before the main series that were never explained (unless there was a spin-off or something that I missed), which is why I thought it might take place before. Also the idea of Lelouch being "resurrected" is terrible in my opinion since the main series had such a good conclusion.

Yes, I definitely agree with that; Lelouch's death was a very dramatic and fitting conclusion to the series, so returning him to life would undermine that ending, plus, I was under the impression that several of the actors and story writers had explicitly stated that he was dead.

i think the term "resurrection" is being used in the same way "the day a demon was born"...he's not actually being resurrected; it's probably more like he comes back out of hiding due to w/e problems arise.

99% likelihood is that he took CC's code and became immortal at the end of R2 thus also fulfilling the contract he had with her...

Will be pretty great (not as great as Original R2 though) if the story starts decades in the future and we see an old C.C., Nunally, and Suzaku (though we don't see his face until halfway through the series).
