I dont know about you guys, but I really like this episode. The way Narutos body glowed like that looked pretty awesome. I did expect Gai s Tiger to look more vicious, but thats my only complaint.

Episode was alright. Disappointing on normal standard, but for an Ik-Hyun Eum fighting episode, it is not actually. Ohshiro Tsutomu handled many parts. I usually don't like when he animates human action/motion-scenes but for non-human scenes I like his parts mostly. But in this one he disappointed in some of those parts as well. But the best part was when Kisame does the 1000 shark Jutsu.
I liked Naruto's new mode with the flames. Overall some funny parts also. To hear Bee's way of talking in anime is always a plus.
Didn't like Naruto's VA at the beginning part. Sometimes it is different.
On music, this episode had mostly good tracks with a couple of boring/bad tracks. Strange that most of the tracks are from OST 01.

I wasn't expecting much from this episode, except the 1000 Hungry Sharks and Hirudora, which were both pretty underwhelming compared to the manga. Poor Kisame got the short end of the stick in terms of Akatsuki fight quality.
But still, it warrants an 8.

First of all, I pity any episode that comes after arguably the greatest episode of the entire series. There's no question this episode was going to be a letdown after that masterpiece.
With that said, after looking at the manga chapter for this episode, it's not a surprise it turned out this way.
Kishi rushed to kill off one of the original villains so he could continue on with the story. The anime is just following the pace, intensity, and significance that the manga set. The anime is basically always better, but in this episode, they are about the same.
I also love how fast those manga fags come storming back in to hate on the eps. It was really nice and pleasant last week when none of them could say shit without getting a rasengan to the face.

P.S. Except for the first part before the OP, that was awesome! Kushina!!!

Imo it was a decent episode, or could have been. Crappy animation and art ruined it for me.

Lol. No. Go read Naruto's great explosion, amd then watch episode 163. The manga version was way better.
Now go watch killer bee vs. kisame, then read the manga version. Manga is signifigantly better.
This past episode followed the tradition. look how the expression on guys face after being thrown by bee is completely gone, or look how the tiger looks like a bear, or look how most of the people on the board felt 10 times the power/ movement from the manga's black and white panels over the episodes crappy movement.
The anime version is NOT always better, and try to remember that your precious anime wouldnt even exist if it were not for the manga.

Well some events are quite surprising.
Kyuubi's chakra has a lot of life force in it, causing wood to sprout.
Kyuubi is a force of nature, but I would've thought it would be a destructive one.
Naruto's "body flicker"... Naruto doesn't know any space-time jutsu.
He was moving so fast it looked like the Yellow Flash, but due to RAW POWER.
How bad ass is that?
Imagine how he'll be like when he can control all that power...
He kills Sasuke in one hit, goes back in time for lunch.
Some comments on the animation:
Kyuubi's chakra stored in Naruto was blue? They messed up.
Morning Tiger really did look like Afternoon Bear. Heh.
Overall the action was very bad.
I just caught up after a long time, so some comments on the big picture:
It's kind of sad that the Akatsuki members are all dying off. That's just going to lead to a really boring one-sided showdown in which a billion Shinobi Alliance members beat up on tired old Madara and Sasuke.

The fight felt so watered down. Maybe it has something to do with the movie coming out. Cutting the budget for the tv show, to put more money into the movie. That's pretty annoying.
