Unintentional trolling though. Stating facts just to make people but hurt. I guess he doesn't know my character can move at supersonic speed being 'genin' level.
Depending on term usage, and i think Soul means this term
Betas: Are second in importance, they hold no power in leading a pack of any kind.
Like take for examples wolves, there is an Alpha (leader) and Beta (subordinate/ helper/less important than the alpha)

Beta is a reference to a perceived type of personality. You have an alpha who is self assured, confident, charismatic, outgoing, and just for emphasis sure of themselves, then you have a beta which is the inverse of that. As previously stated it's an insult.
Kei hit the nail on the head pretty much. But yea act like a beta get called out.
