I'd call it more of a Sket Dance and Haruhi fusion. Haruhi has more fanservice than Medaka Box so far.
Although Medaka does indeed have bigger boobs than Haruhi. =P

acutally i was thinking sket dan as well when i first read the description, maybe mixed in with a non supernatural version of the show with the female student council president that needs that kid to fight for her

Series is okay but it's not good on comedy or nor do I find the characters all that interesting, seems to me the manga-ka added fanservice to make up for the lack of those things. I prefer Sket Dance and Yankee to Megane here.

Read the oneshot and I'm really liking this series. Medaka gives me this Haruhi like feeling where she is in control of everything but you know she still needs the support of the main character to stay afloat (like Haruhi and Kyon's relationship). The art looks great and well drawn plus the little fanservice is not to bad either. Yup... will definitely be follwing this.
Oh by the way ch 3 scans are out.

3rd chapter is excellent and is the best one so far for me.
"She's so smart she passed back into stupid" 
Medaka's disguise was cute and the thing about animals fearing her was hilarious. Along with her jealousy it made her a character you can sympathize with more.
