Synopsis: Kurokami Medaka is a 1st year High School student who has become the newly elected Student Council President. In her first act as President, she establishes a suggestion box for the student body in order to help them. She also drags along her childhood friend Hitoyoshi Zenkichi to aid her in the Student Council even though he is reluctant. Together, they fulfill the various requests that have been placed within the Medaka Box.
Well after reading the one-shot that was scanned a few days ago I can say that I've been anticipating and waiting for the first chapter to be released. The RAW is out for it as well so its just a matter of waiting for a scanlation. CXC-scans, who are the same group that scans Sket Dance, will be providing it.
Here is hoping the 1st chapter is as good as or better than the one-shot. :D
Skimmed through the raw of 1st chapter and it looks good. Read oneshont and also like it. I doubt it will be better than Sket Dance or Yankee-kun to Megane-chan, but still could be very good.
I just hope as many new WSJ series, it won't be cancelled after few chapters. Assuming it wouldn't get much worse than oneshot.

I think it could be safe during the next cut. Hoop Men will get the axe and then assuming Eyeshield ends by then. Otherwise, Medaka Box would have to be an instant hit like Beelzebub and Toriko for us not to have to worry about it being canceled.
I was wondering what this was, but I suppose I'll avoid reading the one shot, and start with the real first chapter. The new jump mangas have been really good lately so I'm kind of excited.
The oneshot was too rushed and forced at times. I don't really like the male lead, but the girl is not bad. I might be checking it out once it's scanlated.

As for the chapter itself, it was very enjoyable for me. Had a nice mix of touching and funny moments. I eagerly look forward to the next one at any rate.
1st chapter was good. I wonder if Medaka "tried her hand" in another martial arts with the same efficieny besides kendo (though, there probably nothing which she tried and couldn't do to 100%).
I also hope sooner or later there will be another members in Student Council.
really like the main char's design so i tried my hand at photoshop. luckily photoshop is nice enough to cover my lack of artistic ability/sense decently enough...
