Ok just imagine this....Kishi finishes the manga with a bretty bomb ending right??
then all of a sudden some dooshbags decide to pick up the series and continue it just like the people who made Dragonball GT
with a lame story and filler that is like 20 times worse then the filler arcs presented
without kishi to do any of the work
i get mad thinking about it lol

A short series could be made about Minato fighting the kyuubi and the birth of naruto etc... but yeh it wouldn't work without Kishimoto

I would wait to reserve judgment of "Naruto GT" until I had SEEN it.

Okay here is my opinion on GT cause not everything about it was horrible.

SuperSaiyan 4 Goku =cool
Kid Goku =Gay
Supersaiyan 4 Gogeta =cool
Sin Shenron = Cool
Omega Shenron =Cool
All other Shenrons = Gay
Kid Goku Beating Omega Shenron with a spirit bomb made of the whole universe's energy = Extra Gay
Goku Dying = Mixed Emotions on that one
Pan= Gay
Trunks = The way they portrayed him was Gay
Super 17= Awesome
DBGT Fillers= Extremely Gay

My point is that DBGT had alot of flaws... ALOT... but it had its cool moments too. For a fan based production it was pretty good. I just hope that if there is a fan based continuation of Naruto, it will be in the spirit of Naruto and not just everybody going "it would be cool if". Maybe an anime production of Kakashi Gaiden (doesn't look like it will happen any other way) or maybe backtrack and cover the history of certain characters like Minato, the Sannin, Madara or Kabuto. Honestly Kishi at this point has left alot unexplained or at least left it to interpretation to the point that fan fics (really good ones) could arise out of it.

The main thing I hated was how it made every character besides Goku and Vegeta look weak. Gohan, Trunks and Goten were all sorry and wasnt good for nothing except for nursing Goku when he had a scratch.

But to the point, is even possible for someone to make a sequal to the Naruto series without Kishi's consent? Because I cant see Kishi just letting someone continue from where he left off knowing they can totally screw it up.

omg id hate that.

the only contination i would be gaidens. ones that went into popular characters, and told us more abot them. like a minato namikaze gaiden, or a war gaiden (hanzou fight), or a anbu gaiden (of when itachi and kakashi were anbu captains) or even a hokage gaiden (mandara vs shodami fight, shodami vs kakuzu, shodami fouding teh village, more of naidame crazyness)

He did do character designs, but he was not involved with drawing out the bulk of the storyboard.
