Default XBOX 360 update problem

I had just bought XBOX 360 Arcade. It was working all right. But recently I bought a few games. When I inserted the disc, a box appeared which told me to update my console. If I don't update it, the disc will not be played. So, I chose the option "Yes". Then it started updating. But then again a box appeared saying something like this -
"Can't read the update from the disc. Please reinsert the disc to continue the update.
If the problem persists, visit www.xbox.com/support.
Status Code: 22FB-351F-B800-0F00-C000-0013."
So, I consulted the above website. It told me to update it from a CD. So, I downloaded the update from the website, copied it to the CD and inserted it in the console. Then again a box appeared saying something like this -
"Can't read the update from the disc. Please reinsert the disc to continue the update.
If the problem persists, visit www.xbox.com/support.
Status Code: 22FB-351F-B800-0F00-C000-0014F."
The code had changed. I tried to look the code in the webite in order to find the solution but the code wasn't there. Now, just tell me what should I do.

The best solution is to find a friend with broadband internet access, and let the 360 download the updates from Xbox Live.

Now I'm no expert and this is just a guess, but if the 360 is an Arcade and it hasn't been updated to the New Xbox Experience dash, then the update and the firmware may be incompatible.

If that's the case, see if you can download the update for the whole console and try again.
