I chose Uzumaki Naruto because I really can feel his emotions and he reminds me of myself. I love his determination, how he never gives up, and how he always believes in himself. He also inspires others to want to be better people, which is a very rare quality to find in a person. Then there is his anthro kyuubi form which is just plain awesome.
aman bro, asuma can go from laughing it up with his students, to brutally murdering nine sound nins. he also has pimping facial hair. that qualifies for ultra badassness.
sabaku no gaara: You know his past, and has a very good reason to be the way he is. But he keeps thinking and listens to Naruto, he makes a wise descion, and tries to make a difference.
