In Celtic mythology, the island of the blessed apple trees, or paradise; and in the legend of King Arthur, the land of heroes, ruled over by Morgan le Fay.
Avalon was an earthly paradise generally described as a land of plenty where eternal spring, health, and harmony reigned.
This FC is dedicated to the Celtic myths-as Avalon- and mystical characters / beings in general: fairies ; elves ; priestesses; Vampires, etc...
However it is not a FC focus for the Dark side.
A pleasant place for all the members have fun over here and to feel well communicating with each other talking or posting fanarts about -their fave or not necessarily-mystical characters / beings or myths.(Mangas,movies,books,animes...)

They're all the first in a series, and all are urban fantasy:
Tithe (and related books) by Holly Black - A books that involves a conflict between the Seelie and Unseelie courts of the fey. The main character is a changeling. I haven't actually read this one, but my best friend reads the series and she's got good taste in books : P
Wicked Lovely (and related books) by Melissa Marr - Another series revolving around the Fey, this one involves a conflict between the Summer court, the Winter court and one very unwilling human girl. I like the way this one ends.
I hope werewolves count in this cause theyre awesome
Welcome Tygy!!!
Of course they count, they're mystical beings/characters.And if you know any book ,movie with this subject you can advice to our library.
Joinage Mythical creatures are awesome. I'll scrounge up a list of some urban fantasies I've read that include them in a little bit.
Edit: Here's the three that come to mind right away.
Nightlife (and related books) by Rob Thurman - This story centered around two brothers and features quite a few creatures from legend, mostly as villains or supporting characters.

Yes they are awesome!!
Will do. Thanks. I added a couple of books to my previous post a few minutes ago
My official favourites are elves, and related creatures. Vampires come second (again, anything related). That makes Jander Sunstar, from Ravenloft, pretty high on my list of favourite characters. He's an elven vampire. It makes for an interesting combination. other than that, it's really whatever I come across that seems cool at the moment.
^I like elves, vampires,fairies...and i love the celtic myths.
So did you watched "Lord of the rings? or did u read the books?Jander Sunstar is from a manga?
I read the books first, then saw the movies. Could never finish the Hobbit, though.
Ravenloft is a series of fantasy horror novels, as well as a D&D campaign world. There are about 20 novels out for it, most of which are out of print. Unfourtunately, I've yet to find a manga that depicts elves and such as well as novels do. You can find info on the wiki page or on this fansite.
