I'll hit your PM up tomorrow. Sorry for the delay. I have a lot of stuff in my inbox and am backed-up a bit.

DO IT, but maybe...hm, I'd wait until Madara is "finished", perhaps? I guess even Obito isn't entirely done yet, though I'm not anticipating much left beyond him getting killed off.

Those essays were very enjoyable and I'd love another one. I still need to redo my Madara one (though like yours, some was disturbingly accurate), but I will probably wait to see how he dies.

Have you at least read up-to-date?

okay, we Definitely don't need a sisters relationship in this series. x'D

Come to think of it, sister relationships is one of the few things missing in Kubera. Well, there's Riche and Ruche, but that hardly counts... there's brother/sister thanks to Kalavinka/Maruna/Yuta and Airi/Claude, but not much sister/sister.

Note how Indra doesn't have just any moldy ol' Sharingan. xP

LOL! Okay, that Is depressing. x'D

True, Kishimoto has a twin brother. It doesn't mean he should give every important character and their dog a brother. D: I mean, we have:
    - Hagoromo and his brother
    - Hagoromo's two sons
    - Hashirama and Tobirama (and co.)
    - Madara and Izuna
    - Sasuke and Itachi
    - Hiashi and Hizashi
    - Kiba and Akamaru o,o

Then we have a whole bunch of brother-like friendships. You're right though, maybe it's a good thing that he left sisterhood out. Otherwise we may have ended up with a bunch of flower scenes and talks about how they should retire to raise babies.

Someone actually told me about the Lego movie a while ago. I found the concept rather funny, because I played with legos all the time as a kid, but they were all random blocks. I remember being surprised walking through stores and seeing that they are all sold as sets now. D:

I wonder. Does Anyone identify with Naruto at this point?

And the brother thing: my first thought was whether the Hyuugas could be connected to them. But it was then supplanted by my second thought, which is Why the heck are there so many prominent brother and brother-like relationships, and so few sisters in this series? :\ I mean, it'd have been pretty cool if Hagoromo had a sister instead of yet another brother. >_< (Hinata and Tsunade have siblings, but those relationships were barely featured in the end)

I should go watch the Lego movie one day. xD

I saw that, lol. I thought the newest chapter interesting for a while, until it revealed that Naruto is the reincarnation of yet another legendary figure. We get it. To be awesome, you have to have awesome parents, be the Child of Prophecy, AND be the reincarnation of some historical figure. No wonder Neji gave up and died.

For starters, let's take a step back. We know that the following events are related to the ongoing events:
    - D500: The world's strongest being is tricked and killed. The Power of the Name is mentioned for the first time. Ananta's death results in a rearranging in power dynamics between Sura.
    - D1000/N0: Cataclysm. Lots and lots of shit happens. No need to say more.
    - N5: Carte blows up. This is also the year Atera was attacked for some reason, and the year Brilith summoned Agni. Oh, and slight spoilers for the latest raws: the Taraka clan attacks the Gandharva clan in N5. The Gandharva clan is in a really, really bad situation.

Current timeline: a few villages are destroyed. Atera is attacked with minimal casualties. Kalibloom is about to be attacked.

One should stand out from all this: the scale of current events is way too small compared to what led up to it. We can only deduce that what we're seeing is the mere prologue, the start of the ramp-up to the true large-scale events to come. Once That happens, then things will get messy, and more parties will get involved. That's when Gandharva will have his role as King to fill out. And that's when I presume he'll have the opportunity to finally make a choice that's correct.

More than one scholarly (or pseudo-scholarly) article has made the argument that sports competitions have in some respects replaced war as a means of resolving international tensions between more developed nations (who are thus less likely to simply go to war than they are to consider the opinions of both the local populace and the international audience). I find this point relevant given the recent completion of this year's World Cup in Brazil, the latest in a long line of sporting competitions...

Things That Rocked: The Plot Thickens

Before this arc, the plot was relatively straightforward. While we had some underlying mysteries related to Naruto and Sasuke’s respective pasts to go with the main storyline going on during the Wave Arc, things were kept simple. With the Chunin Exams Arc however, as new characters were introduced, so too were a variety of plotlines. We had the main conflict between Konoha and the forces working against it. We had a very personal conflict between...

Things that Rocked: New Characters

Being the first truly large scale arc, it is only fitting then that part of this increase in scale comes through an increase in the number of cast members. And holy shit did we see quite a few new characters. Some wound up becoming important supporting characters, others not so...

The first mega-arc of the series, the Chunin Exam arc set itself up as a tournament arc that would, over the course of an arc longer than the previous arcs put together, transition into a war arc, expanding the scale of the story while also reaching heights that have resulted in many readers describing it as the high point of the series. But is it really? Well, before coming to any conclusions, let’s look at what constitutes the arc.

Things to Note: The Tone

Things That Rocked: The Fights

After little hints during the bell test, this arc gave us our first taste of high level battles between shinobi. Certain techniques aside, things are surprisingly subdued compared to much of what comes later. Hand seals are plenty and a chore to carry out quickly, a definite contrast with the simplified jutsu performances that appear in future battles. There is a greater emphasis on using taijutsu to start and finish things, while also positioning oneself...
