Sadly, Kat, some people just don't teach their kids to have good sense.

It's a sad truth.
Yeah, I was the same way when I was in the Teen Titans fandom. Robin x Starfire was my main pairing, but I liked all the characters, but I wasn't a huge fan of Terra (or Raven, to be honest).
I don't visit NF that much, either, so I understand and relate.
I think Shonda Rhimes is an excellent writer and I think Scandal is an excellent show. I just really detest the "Olitz (Olivia x Fitz)" pairing deal. The pairing didn't bother me much in the first season, but I didn't like it either. Now, after seeing Fitz sexually assault Olivia and treat her like his property, and Olivia still pining after him in spite of him treating her like his property and treating his wife like crap, it's just reminds me too much of another pairing I can't stand (hint: the characters' color schemes are pink and blue.

) And Fitz's continual whining about how he wants to leave his wife and be with Olivia, yet never follows through with his words adds the additional nasty cherry on top of the Olitz shit cake for me.

To be honest, the only romance I'm rooting for in the show is Harrison (the black guy on Olivia's team) and Quinn (the brown-haired girl on Olivia's team). I saw only bits and pieces of Deception, but I did like it and plan to watch it in full. Anyway, I agree. So glad to black women in main and non-stereotypical roles and on successful shows.
