Ermm well I'm not too keen on writing short fictional stories as they do in the role playing forum here.

I'd say if there was a particular type of writing style that I enjoy it'd be journalistic style op-ed pieces infused with liberal elements of humour and sarcasm. In particular I like making constant analogies with real life situation as it applies to One Piece. You may have noticed this type of style with my posts.
However I see this more as a past time, a recreational activity then anything I'd like to develop seriously as a future career based skill. It's something I enjoy doing as long as I get the inspiration and ideas to form the piece. There are still things about my writing that I'd like to improve though, most namely the brain farts in the middle of typing, typos, improving my vocabulary and checking my posts more thoroughly before hitting the send button (this is more down to laziness though). I can be wearisomely verbose at times as well I realise.
This is all weird as a I'm from a scientific background and I'm more used to writing up technical scientific reports which are usually the complete opposite of this. Formal, technical and very serious.
Any particular reason for asking me this?
