The truck has been stopped. We're about half a mile from the military base, and we're hearing gunshots in the distance. The infected must already be there.
The driver is urging me to stay in the truck and search for another safe haven. I'm not so sure though, the base probably has weapons. It may be dangerous, but it's probably worth the risk.

It was a difficult struggle climbing the barbed wire fence into the base, but...

It all had happened so fast. Every news channel had been covering it. Why did I spend precious minutes watching the news instead of gathering supplies?
All I have now is a solar powered laptop, 3 bottles of water, 4 bags of chips, a crowbar, and a bow.
I have 30 arrows, and I plan to recover each one of them. Hopefully as long as I collect my arrows when I'm done with them, I won't run out of ammo.
