2009 was a great year for anime openings. They were eye-candy, sad, and even weird. These are the 5 best openings of 2009 from me. Feel free to comment your best opening and such. Note: if one anime had 2 openings last year, only one can be listed.

FullMetal Alchemist Brotherhood Opening 2

Not only this show is great, their openings are really great as well. There are 3 and this opening stands out the most to me. It has great animation, pretty good tune, and it introduces anime watchers a whole new world of FMA like they have never seen before. Great opening and made it to the #5 in my list.

Mobile Suit Gundam 00 Season 2 Opening 2

While this season started on late 2008, this opening was out last year. This opening is really eye-candy and it has the feeling of being the last thrilling moment. There are so many action going on and it doesn't really spoil anything if you think it would spoil you for what's to come. Again, an action packed opening that satisfied me greatly.

Naruto Shippuuden Opening 6

The first new opening of last year was somewhat disappointing; however, this opening made it all up and it is excellent. The song is pretty good, great animation with some impressive fight scene, and most of all, it is emotional. The message is clear and yet, it is sad to see that moment to happen. Also, this opening may get an update, since this moment won't last too long. This opening is just great and looking forward for this year's opening(s).

Shin Mazinger Shougeki! Z Opening 2

This anime have two great openings, but one can be a winner. The first opening is really great, but the second one stands out a lot. The song is amazing, the animation is great, and all around, it feels nostalgic. This is the fan dream come true. This song makes the opening great and all it needs is images, which it is great as well. Overall, check it out. It is one of the best of 2009.

One Piece Opening 11

Okay, why is this opening the #1? Well, let's not be biased by saying, "Hey, it's One Piece!" No, it is just outstanding. The song, in my opinion, fits very well with One Piece, and let's face it, it beats the 12th opening. The animation is great and the action scene gets you pump up for more, even though they are spoilers. It has character introduction, new characters, fighting, and it only builds up the excitement for the future. It is hard decision between #2 and this, but this one really sticks out and also, fun fact, the singers are crazy popular in Asia coast, so it's like a perfect opening for west coast. One Piece opening 11, it is fantastic.
